Instruction for the day: Go on a 3.2 km run at a moderate pace. We are starting to increase our distance, but if you can try and increase the intensity when possible.

I tried a different route today and it was a pretty good change of scenery. Although I prefer running the usual route because I am familiar with the distance covered, this new route gave me a different challenge and it can be boring always running the same old route. I can probably add this to my new running route to mix it up in future.  Almost half way through my challenge, hang in there!

Instruction for the day: This is a 25-minute interval run. Perform 60 seconds of hard running with 90 seconds of light walking or slow jogging.

Today was a hard, hard run and I don’t know why. For some reason, today’s run just suck the stamina out of me. Could it be because this is my first 10 x 1 min interval run? Going to keep today’s post short while I go rest reflect.

Finally, today is the halfway milestone of my 8 Weeks to 5 KM Challenge. This is such a surreal feeling because I ran 14 times in just 3 weeks, this is something I could never see myself doing a couple years back. Today’s run is at the gym so I am happy with my timing since treadmill runs are easier compared to outdoor runs. Looking forward to the next half of my challenge!
