Hi everyone, this is Will and I am a beginner runner since Aug 2016. If you are reading this, you are probably the same as me (experienced runners are most welcome as well!). I hope to help fellow runners begin their journey to a healthier self with information, tips and recommendations.
A little background about myself, I have always been a bad runner since young because of my low stamina. I always admired those people who can seemingly run non-stop due to their stamina gifted bodies. Hence, I was never into running as it was something that I am just not good at.
However, as I am getting older, I realized that I need a way to keep myself healthy because I didn’t want to be always feeling so tired and sluggish in my everyday life. I knew that exercising is the way to go but I didn’t know which sports to choose. That was until one day I saw my old running shoes and thought to myself, why not running?
This is the reason why I created this site so that folks like you and me can form a community of beginner runners to push one another on. To do this, I am going to share my personal experiences over the upcoming months and hopefully years to come.
Like you, I am also a beginner to running, so I hope you can connect with me as well with any tips, techniques or feedbacks so that I can share with the rest of the community here.
More On My Journey So Far
To start running is hard. No doubt about that at all, especially that first run for me in years. It was so mentally hard to make that first step of putting on the running shoes and going out to run.
For those of you who are reading this and thinking when you should start running, just start running today! It doesn’t matter if you can’t even run 1 or 2km, what matters is you start to run. Trust me, it only gets better because the first run is always going to be the hardest.
I don’t know how far I can go but I wish to continue running because it has done nothing but wonders for me so far. I feel less tired and I am definitely feeling healthier because of my running, all in just one month! I sincerely hope you can join me on this journey together.
